A Game of Catch (b&w)
Working this up. There’s a certain energy about this dog that I love to paint. The canvas is 36″ x 48″ – nice and big.

Dozer Dog Done
No matter how many times I photograph this and play with the image settings, the hues on the right side of the face come out stronger (brighter) than they really are. Gr. Oops. I owe Rupert an ice cream. I did paint for a couple of hours yesterday, but then kept painting… and painting. Guess I finally just hit the groove with this one. It’s too hot to paint, but I need to finish him! If I paint for a couple of hours, then maybe I’ll take Rupert for an ice cream…
Dozer underpainting
I’m done marking out the color composition and can get into it, now! I kind of like how his head is too big for the canvas. And this is a 48″ x 36″ canvas.
Slowly but surely…
