Art writer Paul Gardner wrote “A painting is never finished, it simply stops in interesting places.” Oscar should have been finished a couple of weeks ago, but I kept touching it.  Now it’s worse. I’m stopping here, in these interesting places.

I had to add hair.  And glasses (since that’s how most people see me).  I usually have an unruly mess of random hair strands falling out of my hat to the side, so I just went with that. Another one down.  Yea.

I figured this painting would either work up really fast, or I’d spend an eternity on little details that are completely unnecessary (that would be the normal way I paint).  Thankfully, the former seems to be the case, and I’m just having fun with this. Now, to finish the white, is all…
